The Non-Profit Vegan Certification Association verifies Vegan Certification according to JAS Standard 0025, specifically under the provisions 4 and 5 of “Processed Foods Suitable for Vegetarians or Vegans.” This verification is conducted through document review (submission of supporting documents). The association provides the ‘Vegan Certification Mark’ as a private certification.

Application Process:

If you are interested in certification, please first inform us through the inquiry form. Next, you will be asked to send product specifications or ingredient lists, product specification sheets for raw materials, and other verification documents (details will be provided via email).

Upon request, we conduct an approximately one-hour ‘Operational Seminar.’

Once all required documents are received, we will send you the Vegan Certification and the certification mark’s printable data.

Costs: (Certification is available for both members and non-members.)
For members: Joining fee of 10,000 yen (first time only) and an annual fee of 6,000 yen (no consumption tax applies).
Usage license fee for ‘Vegan Certification’ (valid for one year from the month following the completion of certification).

*Continued use of the mark requires annual renewal.

Certification Renewal:
– A renewal notice will be sent one month before the next year’s renewal.
– If you do not wish to renew, please inform us.
– Please also inform us of any changes in ingredients, and we will issue a new certificate after verification.”
